Traditional Polish Christmas
For Children 6-12 Years

On Saturday, December 1 at 3:00 PM, there will be a Traditional Polish Christmas celebration for children ages 6-12 at the Kosciuszko Foundation’s elegant townhouse at 15 East 65th Street in New York City. Artist and educator Dorothy Wieczerzak will lead a hands-on Christmas Tree Ornament Workshop, followed by a tree-decorating ceremony, visit by St. Nicholas (Sw. Mikolaj), caroling sing-along and traditional holiday refreshments. Each child will make an ornament for the Foundations’s Christmas tree, and one to take home. Attendance is limited. More info...
Slavic Arts Ensemble
30th Anniversary Concert

The Slavic Arts Ensemble, founded by Mieczyslaw Gubernat in 1977, will present the first of its 30th Anniversary Concerts on Tuesday, December 11, at 7:30pm. The all-Polish program, ranging from the Baroque (Mielczewski) to contemporary (Piotr Lachert) honors distinguished Polish composer Walter Legawiec, who will have four compositions performed that evening. Tickets are $10, including a reception with the artists after the concert, and can be reserved by calling the Foundation Office. More info...
Long Island Baroque Ensemble
Featured in Holiday Concert at
Kosciuszko Foundation
Sunday, December 16 at 3pm
The Long Island Baroque Ensemble is featured in a special holiday concert on Sunday, December 16 at 3pm. Tickets are $30 (25 for KF members) including a reception with the artists after the concert, and can be reserved by calling the Foundation Office. As space is limited and these concerts are extremely popular, early reservations are highly recommended.The concert will highlight Baroque music of Poland and her neighbors, for an ensemble of oboe, two violins, harpsichord, and cello. Works of Stanislaw Szarzynski and Martin Mileczewski will be framed by more familiar composers such as Telemann and Quantz.
