Director of Cultural Affairs Polish Baroque Music by Rebel
Orchestra The Rebel Baroque Orchestra performs Sunday, February 20 at 3 PM at the Kosciuszko Foundation (15 East 65th Street, between Fifth and Madison). Their program is titled "Fire, Form, and Fantasy: 17th Century Polish, Italian and German Music " and includes music for strings, lute, harpsichord and organ. Rarely-heard compositions by Marini, Rossi, Rosenmüller, Schmelzer, Mielciewski, Szarzynski, Jarzebski will tell a musical tale of three cultures featuring beguiling and beautiful music played on period instruments.
