Philadelphia - The Frances E. Wyszynski Memorial Scholarship for Summer Study in Poland

In memory of his beloved mother, Mr. Raymond Wyszynski annually sponsors a young female from the Philadelphia Chapter area to attend one of the Kosciuszko Foundation's summer study programs at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.

The scholarship covers the costs of tuition, a shared room, meals, and a stipend towards airfare. Scholarship applicants must be full-time students, US citizens and permanent residents of Polish descent, meet program eligibility requirements and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.

Applicants for the Frances E. Wyszynski Memorial Scholarship must meet the eligibility criteria established by the Kosciuszko Foundation and listed on its website - link to summer study application.

To apply for this scholarship, students should provide the admission materials listed at the website: (1) two completed application forms and photos; (2) a $50 application fee (no deposit is required); (3) official transcripts; (4) financial form; (5) two letters of recommendation from professors; and (6) a well reasoned essay (minimum 2 pages) on why you wish to attend the program (include your name, "Summer Sessions," and page number on each page).

Scholarship Deadline: April 8. Decisions are made late in May or early June.
