Language courses are available from two to eight weeks for non-intensive, intensive, and highly intensive programs. Classes begin in July and August. Class size is limited to approximately 10 students affording each student personalized attention. Applicants may register for classes that range from 5 to 8 hours of instruction daily. All intensity levels meet from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Intensive and Highly Intensive programs meet for additional classes focused on oral practice from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. daily, except Wednesdays. Students in the Highly Intensive program meet one-to-one with a tutor. The student chooses the topic of each day's tutoring session. Tutoring is held between 3:00 - 3:45 p.m. or 4:00 - 4:45 p.m. daily, except Wednesdays. Students will be placed in language groups based on a placement exam which is given at the start of the program. Each program also includes lectures on Polish history, culture and art.

OPTIONAL SIGHTSEEING

++ Subject to cancellation. A minimum of 15 students is required for the trip to take place.
PROGRAM FEES INCLUDE
Tuition, a shared room, 3 meals a day, course materials, various cultural events and sightseeing trips of Lublin's Old Town and Sandomierz. Most programs include a trip to Warsaw.
Airfare, optional trips, single rooms and (elective) overnight hotel arrangements in Warsaw are NOT included in the program fees.
Students live in double rooms at a student dormitory. Bathrooms are shared.
Single rooms are available at the dormitory for an additional fee of $10 per night. Students who request a single room and sign up for optional trips should contact the Summer Sessions office prior to submitting an application.
In order to arrange for a transfer of credit you will need the speak to your academic advisor. Print a copy of this page, a Credit Approval Form (see application forms) and submit the request for transfer of credit to your academic advisor. If approved, please return the completed Credit Approval Form to the Kosciuszko Foundation. See below for address information.
Students applying for credit must attend classes and pass final exams. Please note that in Poland 1 academic hour = 45 minutes.
Please use the code KUL on the application form when applying for any of the programs offered at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Indicate the number of weeks you intend to participate in the program - 2 to 8 week programs are available. Circle PL, PLI or PLH for the level of intensity and indicate whether you will be participating in a program beginning in July or August. Indicate double or dorm single under Accommodations as per your preference. Follow additional instructions on the application form.
A University bus is available to students arriving at F. Chopin/Okecie Airport in Warsaw through early afternoon on Sunday, July 8 and July 29. If you wish to make use of this service, please provide us with your flight information to reserve a seat on the bus.
With the exception of the two week program in July and the three week program in August, bus service from Lublin to Warsaw is not provided at the close of programs. Upon request, the program administrators of the Catholic University of Lublin will provide information on bus and train service from Lublin to Warsaw. Please inquire in Poland.
