KF 82nd Annual Dinner & Ball


We would like to extend our BIG THANK YOU to our honorees, presenters, sponsors, supporters and everyone who attended the Kosciuszko Foundation 82nd Annual Dinner & Ball – Honoring Polish Heroes on Saturday night at the Grand Ballroom of the Plaza Hotel. The Ball was attended by over 400 guests; it was a great fun with fantastic music, delicious food, dazzling artistic performance, impressive stories and a great collection of raffle prizes. Many thanks to everyone who helped with the planning and running the evening, to all the wonderful entertainment and people who provided their services. We are very grateful to every single one of you for your support!

Edward L. Rowny - Commanding Officer in World War II,  Korea, and Vietnam War, a military advisor to five U.S. Presidents, Chief Strategic Arms Negotiator with the rank of Ambassador, President of APAC, and Darek Barcikowski, Honorary Consul in Hartford, CT who accepted the Medal on behalf of Gen. Rowny; KF Pioneer Award Recipients: Wanda Lorenc - A Member of the National Armed Forces, Warsaw Uprising Medical Volunteer, War Prisoner; Wincenty Knapczyk - A Combat Veteran of Monte Cassino, Commander of the  Polish Army Veterans Association of America; Zbigniew A. Big thank you to Monika Dziewa, former KF grantee whos served as a Master of Ceremony throughout the evening; to Gerard Carelli Orchestra that gave a superb music performance along with a special vocal presentation by Monika Krajewska, Mezzo-Soprano and Yelena Kurdina pianist, to the Polish American Folk Dance Company led by Andrzej Buczek, and to USMMA Fanfare Trumpet Squadron for being part of our event.

All proceeds from the Ball will support the Foundation's ability to fulfill its mission to promote education and a broad understanding of Polish culture and history in the United States.
