Each year the Foundation offers a number of scholarships to American students of Polish descent to attend its Summer Study Abroad programs in Polish language at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, language textbooks, a shared room, breakfast and dinner and complementary programs such as sightseeing (collectively referred to as program fees) of our 3-week programs, Session C and Session D, and is paid directly to the Jagiellonian University on behalf of the student. Scholarship applicants may apply for longer sessions.
Scholarship recipients will be responsible for their own transportation, health care coverage, travel and medical insurance, airfare, and all other costs.
Tomaszkiewicz-Florio Scholarship applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma by the first day of the program. High school seniors and full-time undergraduate students may apply. Candidates must be US citizens of Polish descent or Polish citizens with permanent residency status in the US.
